I am a little out of date so I will try to catch up and post a bunch of pictures from our recent activities.
We just returned from a worldwind adventure. It started with loading 2 kids, 2 carseats, 2 suitcases, a stroller, a diaper bag, a turtle backpack, favorite lovies and snacks onto an airplane and then visiting 2 states and all the family. It ended with an Andrew meltdown in the Atlanta airport and a 90 minute wait for baggage at Phoenix airport. The days in between were really good though!
The highlights:
On the plane into Greensborough the pilot took Andrew into the cockpit and let him sit in the co-pilot seat and push the buttons and wear the pilot's hat. He loved it. Definitely made the cross- county flight fun for him.
We spent 4 days in NC with my Dad and Elizabeth. Andrew loved the cats, the children's museum and running up and down the hill in the yard. The highlight for Andrew was the whirlpool bath and all the bubbles.
Then we trecked up to Virginia to see my mom and sister and her family. Emily and her cousin Ian are 6 weeks apart so it was fun seeing them roll around together. We woke up the day before Easter to SNOW. Crazy! Andrew built a tiny snowman and played outside in it until it started to melt. We spent Easter Sunday at my mom's and the kids were spoiled with new toys and candies. We visited the Richmond zoo, Maymont park and the baby animal farm, and mostly ran around in the huge yard. Andrew collected sticks, acorn caps, flowers and bugs.
It was a fun visit for everyone and makes me wish we lived closer. It also makes me appreciate all the great friends we have in Arizona so its been nice to get back into our normal routine today as well.
