Happy Halloween

There is a surprising amount of Halloween festivities here in England. Even though there are no American families in our neighborhood lots of people have decorations and pumpkins out and the stores are all filled with decorations and candy. Tonight we are going over to a friends house on the other side of town, so it will be interesting to see how many trick-or-treaters are around.

We went to a pumpkin patch a few weeks ago and finally carved them today.

This year Andrew wanted to be a magician/wizzard and Emily a witch. Both actually worked out well for the cold evening since they each needed two layers to stay warm enough to trick-or-treat.

Yesterday we went to RAF Lakenheath and took the kids trick-or-treating (apparently they always do it on a Saturday). It was insanely busy and crowded, with lines of kids at the doors to collect candy. The kids enjoyed it, and it was fun to see some impressive houses decorated and lots of fun costumes. It was a very nice evening with friends.
