Sun, sand, beach

Andrew, Emily and I took an impromptu trip to Rocky Point, Mexico with our friend Simone and her two kids. We spent 3-1/2 days playing on the beach, digging in the sand and relaxing. By the last day we had the routine of breakfast... sunscreen... beach... naps.... down to an art form but getting four kids out the door assembled for the beach is quite an event. But it was totally worth it.

It was Emily's first trip to the beach. She splashed in the water, ate the sand and napped in the shady spots. Andrew buried sand toys, collected shells and lay in the surf with his friends. Simone and I kicked back in lawn chairs, swam and watched the kids.

Here is some video of Emily crawling on the beach. At first she did not know what to make of the sand, but by the end of our trip she was having so much fun.
