Tory called this morning to say he arrived at his base early in the morning Friday his time. He had several delays along the way but made it safely and is now getting settled in to his new job and his room. He is feeling a little pressured and nervous about the job - he has a lot of responsibility and not a lot of time to learn from the person he is replacing. I am sure he will do a great job. He does have an email account at work and an APO mailing address if anyone needs that. Hopefully once he adjusts to the time zone and unpacks he will get the laptop up and running and we can use the webcam and email to talk. Its hard to talk much on the phone with the time change and very short calls (about 10 minutes) and kids running around on this end.
The usual chaos has reined here. This week the dog has been to the vet twice for a UTI, the car is in the shop, both kids have colds and my computer only works properly maybe half the time. Fun times. On the positive side the kids are doing so much better than I anticipated with Tory being gone. We have a little calendar they put stickers on to count the days until he comes back and they watch bedtime stories he recorded before he left. I am so lucky to have such flexible and easy going kids -- must have been some genetic mutation because they didn't get it from either of us.

Pam, you are doing a great job! Keep it together, but, if you have to fall apart...give me a call, I am sure between the two of us, we can find some scotch tape somewhere!!!!
