Fall break

It was Andrew's fall break from school last week and Tory was off from work. Andrew had a terrible stomach bug for the first half of it so we weren't sure we would even leave the house all week. But he started feeling better and we were all getting restless around the house together.

So we packed up the kids and headed up to Lake Las Vegas -- its about 20 miles from downtown Las Vegas and maybe 6 miles from Lake Meade. We stayed at one of the "family resorts" and the kids loved it -- beach, lake, water-slide, fishing. We went onto the strip one day and walked around Treasure Island and the pirate ships, the mall, the Dolphin habitat and the tiger exhibits at the Mirage and the Circus Circus games area.

So now its back to school for Andrew, back to work for Tory.... it will be nice to have us back on a routine. Between Andrew out of school being sick, then his birthday and then fall break, we've had two weeks of chaos.
