Spring cleaning

After a weekend of sorting out the garage, taking two car loads to Goodwill and bins of toys to the kid's resale shop I feel like we are making progress on getting organized for the big move. There is still a decent amount of stuff to sell, but most of it we need to use for the next two months so we are holding off selling it as long as possible. No washer and dryer would make for a long two months. What we can do without we are selling now. We have shelves and areas of rooms sorted by move - sell - storage.

Fortunately the house is under contract now and we hope to close in early July. We are waiting for approval from the military housing program and we are not sure how the timing will work out yet. But not having people walking through the house all day has certainly helped. It was not even three weeks on the market before we went under contract and that felt like a long time to keep the place in 'un-lived-in" condition. Hopefully this contract makes it through inspections, loans, appraisals and closes without issues.

The weather here has turned from cool and breezy spring to summer hot. It reached over 90 degrees this weekend and made for a hot 11AM soccer game on Saturday. The kids are excited to start swimming in the pool again and they have only five weeks of school left for the year.

Tory and I are heading to Hawaii next week for vacation. My in-laws are going to supervise the kiddos and Maggie back at our house while we are sunning and relaxing on the beach. We are excited to have a week off from all the craziness.

Life is good. Crazy at times.... but good.
