Happy mother's day

The kids were up unusually early today -- 5:30AM... quite a start to mother's day (so much for sleeping in). But they helped Tory to make coffee and breakfast for me. The kids made cards and some school crafts for me too.

We went into Phoenix to the Art Museum for the mother's day events there. They had stations for the kids to make a picture for mom, flowers and treats for the moms, and we enjoyed wandering around the exhibits which included the Ansel Adams exhibit. It was a really nice afternoon. The museum is beautiful - if you haven't gone its worth checking out.

Overall a very nice mother's day. And since the kids were up so early, they are already in bed and its not even 7pm. A night of peace and quiet is a gift itself.
