Some local sites and adventures

We took the kids to Great Yarmouth for the day a few weeks ago. Its only an hour to the ocean from our house and the kids enjoyed the boardwalk, games and big slides. It was way too cold and windy to swim, but we enjoyed the day.

English towns have the most amazing parks and playgrounds. There are public areas everywhere and we have had a fun time exploring the area. We went with a friend to Thetford Forest last week and loved it. The playgrounds have zip lines, teeter totters, swings, slides, tire climbing and all kinds of great things.
There are so many places to explore locally. We really could go somewhere different each week. It is nice that Tory and I have both been to England a few times in the past so we have seen most of the major tourist things already. We haven't felt any pressure to fill our first few weekends in England. I am sure we will have lots of visitors who will also want to see the main attractions, so we are waiting for that to go back to many of those places. So for now we are just enjoying the local area.
This weekend we are taking the kids to Windsor, which is just on the west side on London (about 2 hours from here). We are going to Legoland and Windsor Castle as a final fun outing before school starts.
