We are now at 4 months since Tory left. His replacement is on route this week and then he should be able to start his trek home after that. We are guessing he will return sometime during the week of the 18th depending on the flight schedules.
Its been so frustrating trying to communicate lately. If Tory calls when the kids are awake Andrew wants to talk and Emily usually is not so co-operative of my attention being diverted. And its rare that he can reach me when I am not at home. The times that I am home and the kids are asleep or napping its the middle of the night for him. I think we are both sick of only "talking" through email. But, I guess I should not complain since even 5 or 10 years ago the communication options were much less available.
Andrew knows daddy will be home in May but we haven't talked about how many days or anything specific. He keeps putting stickers on the calendar to mark the days that have passed and the sticker jar is getting empty which is a nice sign.
In some ways the time has passed pretty quickly and we have kept busy and distracted. But when I think about all that has transpired in four months it does seem very long and like there is so much to catch up on as a family. So, hurry home Tory!!!
