Off to Kindergarten

Andrew is officially a Kindergartner. He was excited to use his new backpack and lunch box. My crafty project for the weekend was making him a "nap mat" for quiet time. There was nothing he liked in the stores, so he picked out some race car fabric and I made a little padded mat that rolls up and has a pillow. He was counting down the days to starting and then today he said he was a little nervous. But he put his things in his cubby and settled in to his seat with no tears and was talking away to the kids sitting with him. He is so ready for school. I can't wait hear about his adventures when I pick him up.

Emily has asked ten times "where's Andrew?" and "can I go to school?" She has enjoyed having him around all summer to play and be silly. She starts preschool on Thursday and will go two mornings a week. Hopefully her first day goes just as smoothly.
