Preschool adventures

Emily had her first day of preschool today. She will go two mornings a week. Today went well - no tears when I dropped her off and she said she had fun when I picked her up. They ate animal crackers and did playdoh. Sounds pretty good to me. She already knows several friends in her class so I think that helped. Andrew was excited she would be going to 'his school.' And I saw Andrew walking to lunch when I picked her up today so I got a peak into his day as well.

So for six hours a week I will have no kids at home. What's a mommy to do with herself? Today I drank a cup of coffee without it getting cold and having to go in the microwave to be re-heated half way through. And I turned on the Today show for the first time in probably 5 years... turns out I have not missed much in that time. I am sure there will be lots of ways to fill those kid-free hours.

Yay for you!! A chance to drink an uninterupted coffee is a wonderfulthing indeed. I'm sure those 6 hours a week will usually be filled with tons of to-dos but I'm so proud of you for taking today just for you!! And I'm proud of both of your kids for heading off to school so bravely. Hopefully our start of school goes as smoothly!
