We went from pumpkins to Christmas trees around here, and somehow Thanksgiving has been lost in the midst of it. We usually get cards and crafts home from school in the shape of turkeys and pilgrims but not this year. There is no Thanksgiving celebrated in England (or anywhere in Europe that I am aware of).
The kids are both in school today, Tory is deployed, and I am writing this looking at a Christmas tree. Really, is it Thanksgiving today? We are going over to our friends' house on base tonight to have Thanksgiving dinner and then it will all feel right again... I am sure someone on base will have an inflatable turkey in the front yard.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family. We have so much to be thankful for this year and every year. We have a great life -- it is crazy at times, but I wouldn't trade it.
Sorry... no pics to post... unless you want a picture of the Christmas tree again :-)
