And it's Friday already....

Another week comes to an end.

Wednesday was another day for sightseeing, and I went to a beautiful historic wool town called Lavenham where the buildings are all the original timber and are crooked and leaning into the street. It was sunny and warm and the flowers were all blooming - a really great time wandering around and stopping for tea and scones.

After Lavenham we drove a bit further down the road to Hedingham Castle which sits up on a hill overlooking the small town. It is a small Medieval tower with a large Norman arch inside. It is not nearly as large as Framlingham from last week, and much of it has been restored inside, but it is still worth a stop to see.

Besides the Wednesday adventures, during the week I manage to run Emily to ballet and swim lessons, Andrew to soccer and swim lessons, go to and from the school at least twice each day, get to the gym (not as often as I would like), run to the base at least once for various errands, usually meet some girls from the squadron for lunch one day, and in between all that do the usual cleaning, laundry, groceries, and squeeze in some family time with Tory after his long days at work. Its really not so glamorous and exotic to be overseas except for the outings to fun places (and planning of great vacations). Its really just life in a different place, with different people, but all the same stuff still needs to get done.  I have to try to squeeze in the fun stuff between the required stuff, and we are trying to take advantage of as many local/British activites as possible - in that respect even little things are an adventure.
