Fall is here

It has definitely turned to fall weather here in England. It is a welcome change to see the leaves changing and pull out the sweaters after six years in the desert. I think I have forgotten what it is like to have brisk autumn weather and a noticeable change in seasons. The weather has been beautiful most of the month and we have had many sunny and clear days.

The kids love picking up leaves and acorns and they look pretty cute in rain boots (wellies) and jackets.

We enjoyed a beautiful day in London last weekend and toured Buckingham Palace on the last weekend it was open for the summer season. We went up in the London Eye and had a great view across the city and the river. We walked for miles and wore everyone out. It is a fun, but very long day trip. We drove to the tube station and rode the tube into the city. From our front door to the center of London is two hours. We haven't tried the train from Cambridge or Ely yet, but I imagine it might be a bit faster.
